Veneers
Dental veneers are very thin shells which are used to enhance the appearance of the teeth. They are generally made up from tooth-colored porcelain or resin composite materials. They are placed on the front side of the teeth. They help to correct dental problems like discoloration of teeth, worn enamel, to enhance the appearance of the stained, chipped, broken or misshaped teeth.
It is a four-step process which involves – preparation of teeth, the impression of prepared teeth and choosing the shade of the veneer. In the third step, the impression is sent to the dental laboratories for making the perfect veneers for your teeth. At this stage, the dentist might give you artificial veneers to wear. The last step involves the cleaning of the teeth and the placement of permanent veneers. Apart from improving the appearance of the teeth, the veneers also provide strength and durability to your teeth.
